If you're part way through your degree and want to spend a year in industry, our 12-month placements give you the chance to put your knowledge into action. Morrisons is a great place to learn on-the-job, work on projects and give your career a head start.

Finance Industrial Placement

With 90,000 colleagues in our Morrisons team and hundreds of stores nationwide, it’s important that we keep our finances in check. That’s where you come in.

Our Finance Industrial Placement is a 12-month placement based in the finance team at our Hilmore House head office in Bradford. It’s a chance to gain valuable experience of a finance department within one of the UK’s largest supermarkets. You’ll be analysing expenditure, providing insight on financial performance to non-finance stakeholders and dealing with month-end close and balance sheet controls.

You’ll also gain valuable stakeholder management, leadership and team working skills. Throughout the process you’ll have an excellent support network including a Buddy to help you settle into the role - and we think you’ll find this incredibly useful when you start studying towards your CIMA qualification. In fact, we have a generous CIMA study support package and you’ll complete a number of certificate level papers during your placement year.

Manufacturing Industrial Placement

As the UK's 2nd largest fresh food manufacturer, we produce most of our fresh food ourselves at our 19 manufacturing sites. From baked bread and seafood to fresh produce and meat products, we provide good quality food at great value. Join us on a placement and you’ll learn all about food manufacturing and help us to guarantee freshness from field to fork like no other supermarket can.

As part of our manufacturing team, you’ll develop your leadership skills every day. You’ll motivate your colleagues, work on exciting  projects and help us to continually improve and simplify our manufacturing processes. Location Planning Industrial Placement

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Property Team for a 12 month industrial Placement as a Location Planning and Market Analysis Advisor.

This placement will focus on detailed and robust research & analysis to support the Location Planning and wider Property team including research into grocery competition activity, supporting the Location Planning function with the provision of timely and accurate maps, data and reports. Providing efficient admin, planning and ad hoc spatial analysis, and will support the regular forecasting and ad hoc projects.

Estates Industrial Placement

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Property Team for a 12 month industrial Placement as a Property Advisor - Estates.

This placement will focus on the day-to-day management of the retail, industrial and logistics portfolio which comprises in excess 800 commercial properties, over 9m sq ft. across the United Kingdom. The Property Team comprises 89 people including Surveyors, Property and Facilities & Maintenance Managers. This role is in the Estates Management Team, based in our Support Office in Bradford and is focused on providing effective and efficient property management of the operational estate in order to support our colleagues to provide an excellent customer experience.
