At Morrisons, we’ve been awarded Gold for supporting the Armed Forces Covenant

To those who proudly protect our nation, who do so with honour, courage, and commitment, the Armed Forces Covenant is the nation’s commitment to you.

But that commitment works both ways, and we’re proud to have earned the Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award for the work that we do to support the Armed Forces community.

We pledge that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives.

The covenant focuses on helping members of the armed forces community have the same access to government and commercial services and products as any other citizen.

That includes education and family wellbeing, advice on buying a home, starting a new career, and other financial issues, together with access to healthcare and discounts on a selection of essential services.

Here at Morrisons, it’s just part of our commitment to helping people transition out of military life and into a rewarding civilian career.

CTP

The Career Transition Partnership (CTP) is a partnering agreement between the Ministry of Defence and Right Management Ltd. Right Management Ltd are global career development and outplacement specialists and part of the ManpowerGroup.

The CTP provides resettlement services for anyone leaving the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force and Marines, and can also introduce people who leave the armed forces to employers like us.

If you’ve been a member of the Armed Forces, you can benefit from CTP support when you leave, and it doesn’t matter how much time you served.

To date, the CTP have helped over 235,000 people transition to civilian life, and supported thousands of organisations who have opportunities for ex forces members.

Forces Families Jobs is the go-to place for training and employment for family members of people who are currently serving in the UK military.

British Forces Resettlement Services

British Forces Resettlement Services events provide the Armed Forces Community with brilliant opportunities to meet and network with employers.

As a Community Interest Company (CIC), BFRS is a Social Enterprise that was created to support the Armed Forces Community. They work with organisations across the UK that are looking to hire, re-train, and offer career advice people who have served in the military. And they host National Employment & Careers Fairs and Company Recruitment Days across the UK too, along with providing a range of useful online services.
