It's never too early to think about a career in Engineering at Morrisons. Whatever stage of your education you’re at, or even if you’re looking for a career change, here’s everything you need to know if you’d like to help us Feed the Nation - now and in the future.

  • Engineering Apprenticeship

To start with, you could apply for our Engineering Apprenticeship.

At Morrisons, we love nothing more than providing top quality food to our customers with the freshest produce from flowers, fish and veg to burgers and bread. And it’s our Engineers who make it possible.

In fact, being part of the UK’s 2nd largest fresh food manufacturer with 18 manufacturing sites across the country is pretty exciting. Especially when it’s our job to Feed the Nation. Which means our Engineering Apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity.

It’s a 4-year programme that helps you develop your technical skills and learn to become a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in the fast-paced world of food manufacturing.

  • Gaining qualifications

But, if our Apprenticeship isn’t for you, you’ll need to gain specific qualifications and experience before you can join us. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (such as ONC Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or BTEC Level 3 in Mechanical & Electrical/Electronic Engineering), a knowledge of FMCG manufacturing, and a clear understanding of HACCP principles.

You can find out more about what our Engineers do here. And if you have any questions about our Apprenticeship scheme, or life at Morrisons, please get in touch.
