Feeding the Nation and making sure people can get the food they need wouldn’t be possible without our incredible supply chain.
It’s where we make sure our shelves are full and looking great without creating waste. It means keeping our depot teams closely linked with our suppliers. It’s about growing our online business, including our partnership with Ocado. And it involves building our wholesale function as we work with Amazon to supply external businesses rather than just our stores.
What makes our supply chain unique is that we don’t just sell food - we make it too, which means we work alongside our own manufacturing teams as well as suppliers.
And with a day to day workload that includes merchandising, development, data science, Greenfield tech, and more, it’s busy, it’s fast-moving, it’s ambitious, and it’s an incredible place to work, right at the heart of Morrisons.
It’s about knowing our customers - and growing our business
Join our Supply Chain department, and you’ll play a key role in one of a number of teams.
As a Supply Chain Specialist or Manager, you’ll take responsibility for a group of products and suppliers as you plan schedules and intake, and look after seasonal events and related stock flow. You’ll work across our business to make sure we can react to quick-changing customer demand while driving up savings.
As a Merchandiser, you’ll focus on making our shelves look their best. It’s about mixing customer instinct with science to analyse data on shelf lives, sales and waste. And it’s about making decision on everything from which products need to be placed at eye level to which are easiest for our store colleagues to restock.
And in Systems Development you’ll take an operational perspective to developing solutions for new business that work for everyone. Your challenge will be helping our business get ready for growth with smart and more automated decisions
A career path that can take you further
To join the team, you’ll need an analytical approach and the ability to build a deep understanding of the data behind customer behaviour. You’ll influence decisions, be commercially minded, and make the most of every opportunity you find.
And whatever your role, you’ll discover a career path that could take you into IT, Commercial, Marketing and more. Where you’ll be able to build your knowledge across categories. That gives you a solid understanding of the end-to-end supply chain process. And all in a great place to be.
“I’m still really enjoying my role and there is still a progression path should I want that.”
